Employee assistance services
Wayne Austin IFA works in partnership with many employers in the public and private sector throughout the UK. We offer bespoke and impartial financial services to employees during periods of uncertainty and change such as when approaching retirement, redundancy, change of company pensions, financial hardship and pay and grading exercises.
Our comprehensive and varied suite of services have been designed to accommodate today’s ever changing financial world and
can be tailored to your company needs and in line with your expected outcomes. Our services are flexible to meet each organisations needs ensuring we can provide a bespoke impartial service for everyone.
We offer two funding options for our services, with one being on a consultancy basis with rates quoted for the contract and one where we would make no charge apart from the venue and expenses, the differences being outlined below:
· On contracted rates we apply a no sales policy without written authorisation from the employer.
· Where we are paid no consultancy fees we will look to recoup our costs through marketing of our services which attract fees and commissions.
On both the above options we will take full responsibility for all advice given and provide all the necessary licences and professional indemnity insurances appropriate to this kind of work.
We offer employer or employee services in line with a national employee assistance programme; from redundancy and debt counselling to tailored financial seminars and half or full day workshops designed to support employees.
Our specialist experience
From our recent experience in dealing with many blue chip companies and their employees it has never been more apparent that the need to support employees in their financial wellbeing is of upmost importance. Evidence suggests that many employees have severe debt but no one to which to talk which has a huge impact on their day to day performance. We have provided seminars and consultancy to many blue chip companies, as well as the public sector, and can provide a CV with details of work carried out should this be requested.
Our professional qualifications
In conjunction with our EAP partner PPC worldwide we can provide a comprehensive range of up to date and topical information designed to help and support employees. Our speakers are professionally qualified and competent Independent Financial Advisers who are regulated through the financial services authority; this ensures the delegates are in the safe hands of professionals at all times.
Scope of services
We can create and deliver whatever content you decide appropriate, from short seminar sessions to half or full day workshops to include many different topics. You can select from our mix and match menu which you think is most appropriate to your employees needs. In most cases a meeting with you or telephone conference will help us understand your needs and make some suggestions as the best way to proceed, however, what we don’t offer is one size fits all package. We are flexible in everything we do and aim to deliver the agreed outcomes
Mix and Match Seminar Modules
Our range of 60 to 90 minute financial seminar sessions allows you to mix and match modules throughout the day according to your requirements. We can offer up to 4 seminars throughout one day, to enable staff and managers to attend the session most relevant to their needs. However if you require less than 4 seminars we can tailor our service to meet your requirements and can even offer one to one clinics around your specified seminars.

Seminars and One-to-One Clinics
Full day or half day on-site financial consultancy service, which consists of a 30 to 90 minute seminar, “The Financial Facts of Life” - followed by one-to-one financial clinic sessions. The seminar will cover such issues as debt, savings, investment and pensions. Delegates will also be offered guidance on understanding financial jargon and what it means to them. Seminars can be complimented by 30 minute one-to-one sessions with our Financial Advisor, in which delegates can ask questions that relate to their personal circumstances in a private and confidential environment. This dual format has proven extremely effective, receiving overwhelmingly positive feedback from past clients and their employees.
Financial Facts of Life
This seminar covers topics such as debt, savings, investments and pensions. The seminar is designed to give delegates a clearer understanding of general financial issues, demystify financial jargon, and enable them to make informed decisions about their finances.
Executive Services
We also offer tailored services for people with more complex financial issues. Busy executives may often pay little or no attention to their own financial wellbeing, and potentially require more detailed financial planning. This pays particular attention to ensuring they benefit from shrewd forward thinking tax planning. Executive services can be offered at the place of work or at a venue of your choice.
Pensions
Decisions about pensions can be stressful and confusing, due to the amounts of money involved, the lengthy timescales and lack of market clarity. This seminar provides delegates with support and guidance on the products on the market, those to avoid and how to determine which one is best suited to them.
With many employers deciding to change their final salary pensions due to the ever increasing costs it has become a high profile issue for employers wishing to close their schemes or dilute the benefits. This has a huge impact on employees and their employee benefits which is why it should be a priority to employ specialist Independent Financial advisers to advise the employees of exactly the changes mean to them. We have vast experience in this area and are able to deliver a sympathetic approach to a sensitive issue.
Planning for Retirement
A successful retirement begins with a clear understanding of one’s own financial situation and the options available. This targeted session outlines information on pensions, provides delegates with advice on preparing to live on a reduced income, and covers issues that may arise around early retirement.
Preparing for Redundancy
The process of making redundancies is never easy. This seminar helps with a key aspect of redundancy by providing practical financial information and advice to employees that find themselves in this often difficult situation. Subjects covered include managing debt and budgeting.
Managing Debt
A session which covers topics such as coping with a reduced income, reducing debt and managing your personal finances.
Mortgages, credit cards, loans, credit referencing and bankruptcy are also covered in detail. Delegates learn how to improve their finances and manage their money more effectively.
Managing on a Reduced Income
Many of your staff may be facing the challenges of debt or a drop in household income. When this happens, it can be difficult to adjust spending patterns, which eventually results in difficulty meeting financial commitments. This seminar identifies priorities in spending, and thereby helps people budget more effectively.
Building a positive, financially secure future
Improve finances; learn about various bank accounts, tax, mortgages, investments and savings. This seminar provides assistance to individuals with long term planning and building a more secure financial future.
